So I found this newsgroup online and read a couple articles. I thought it was intriguing; not because it was a news source for black people, but because it seems a news source for uneducated black people. For instance, this article. Is this site a farce?
Where's my white people news source?

So, it's been a week already since I've last updated this thing. Not too much has happened, really. Took the girlfriend with me to Saddle Mountain, met up with Jennifer and hiked to the summit. Beautiful time to be in the area. I do imagine though, that it was the wrong time to go if I were looking to stay away from other people, as it seemed that everyone and their mother was also inclined to be in the same place. The whole hike took roughly 3.5 hours, which seems like quite a bit. Maybe I'll have to increase my excersize regiment. I'm clearly becoming an old man too early. I'll post some pics down below.
On Monday I finally went to the doctor's office and had my ingrown toenail surgically removed. The process seemed to be relatively short. I spent more time in the waiting room for my name to be called than I did having the procedure carried out. The doctor showed me the portion of the nail that she had cut off. It's like I had a thorn growing out of my toenail about a quarter inch long. It would seem that my discomfort was entirely founded. I've been hobbling around the last couple of days as a result, though I feel that by tomorrow I should be relatively functional once more. I find that my mood seems somewhat more pleasant as well. Perhaps I should have taken care of the toenail years ago.
My hair is getting too long. I feel like shaving it all off. I don't care much for having it any longer. Pun entirely intended.
The pictures as promised:

What a lovely morning it is. I seem to be getting up earlier and earlier these days; for no good reason either. My lack of work would seem to indicate a greater appreciation for sleeping in. Even so, it's 7:07am and I've already been up for roughly an hour and a half. No matter, soon enough I'll be hopping on my bicycle and heading down the road.
Recently, my classes have started up for summer term at PCC. This is actually the first time in a couple years I've managed to take more than one course in a given term. Perhaps inspiration, motivation, desperation, have finally arrived. Currently I'm trying to understand an introductory java programming course. I'm not finding as much interest as I'd initially hoped to. Here's hoping that comes later on.
Additionally, I've started a batch of root beer. Five gallons worth, to be precise. Traditionally I've found this to be somewhat of a difficult task to take on. Whether the sweetness of the drink or the carbonation I always manage to misunderstand the nature of the beast. Currently I have a corny kegs worth enduring the process of carbonization. More information on that later this week. Similarly, I intend to brew a batch of wheat beer. Previously I have worked with red and brown ales, even trying an expensive kit, in an attempt to produce quality product. So far I've met with mixed success. My hopes are high on the next batch though, as a good summer beer would be very enjoyable as we come into the month of July. Again, I'm sure I'll keep updates of the process.
Until next time...

New Beginnings
Feeling a distinct need to convey my unintelligible thoughts to the world I thought to myself, "Why not start up another blog, Chris?" It felt like such a compelling argument that I put this plan into action. And now, much to our chagrin, here we are...
I suppose I'll use this format from time to time to outline the simple goings on in my life. Maybe this will also give me an excuse to break out my camera, which hasn't seen much use in the last year or two. Perhaps even give me a reason to pick up on old hobbies, as well as new, in an effort to vainly seem as if my life is worth the readership of other individuals online.
Stay tuned, World. There are sure to be other mundane articles to follow.
